Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 13, 2026

IELET ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user of the IELET platform at ielet.org. By using our platform, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. What Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an IELET account, we collect your name, email address, country, and any optional profile information you choose to provide (such as phone number or professional background).

1.2 Assessment Data

We collect your responses to assessment questions, scores, timing data, and the results generated from your assessment. This data is used to calculate your IELET score and generate your certificate.

1.3 Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with our platform, including pages visited, features used, session duration, and device/browser information. This is collected via Google Analytics and our Supabase analytics.

1.4 Payment Information

If you purchase a full assessment or certificate, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details on our servers — Stripe handles all payment processing securely.

1.5 Communication Data

When you contact us via email or our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use Resend for email delivery.

2. How We Use Your Information

2.1 Service Delivery

We use your information to provide, operate, and improve the IELET platform — including processing assessments, generating scores, issuing certificates, and enabling certificate verification.

2.2 Communications

We may send you transactional emails (assessment results, certificate issuance, account updates) and, with your consent, marketing communications about new features or resources.

2.3 Research & Improvement

We use aggregated, anonymized assessment data to conduct research on entrepreneurial competencies and improve our assessment framework. Individual data is never shared in identifiable form.

2.4 Analytics & Performance

We use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with our platform, identify usage patterns, and optimize performance. This helps us improve your experience.

2.5 Legal Compliance

We may process your data to comply with applicable laws, respond to legal requests, or protect the rights and safety of IELET and its users.

3. Cookies and Tracking

3.1 Cookie Categories

We use cookies in four categories: Necessary (authentication, security), Analytics (usage tracking), Marketing (personalized ads), and Preferences (user settings). See our Cookie Policy for a complete list of cookies and how to manage them.

3.2 Consent Management

When you first visit IELET, you will see a cookie consent banner. Your choices are stored in localStorage under the key ielet_consent_v1. You can update your preferences at any time using the Cookie Preferences button in the footer.

3.3 Third-Party Integrations

We use Supabase for authentication and data storage, Stripe for payments, and Google Analytics for usage tracking. Each of these services may set their own cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

4. Do Not Sell My Personal Information

4.1 Your CCPA Rights
